The fantasy of Disney, a sister ship to the Disney dream, is currently under construction in Germany. It was expected to make its maiden voyage on March 31, 2012.
When it gets underway, the adult passengers will get to enjoy Europa, area reserved for adults of the ship. It will be a similar size to the adult area of the dream, the District, but is going to be re - imagine with a European feel.
"It will be an evening in Europe," said Disney executive Joe Lanzisero today in the USA.
A salon called the Piazza runs the District Lounge on the dream of Disney and will have a bar modeled after an Italian carousel vintage and other Italian themes.
The area will also include a pub called O'Gills. (A throwback to the classic Disney 1959 Darby O'Gill and the little people, perhaps?)
A popular feature of the dream Disney, a Skyline bar (pictured above), will make a reappearance in Europa. The bar, bordered of electronic "windows" offers a view rotating overview of major cities. On the Fantasy, they will be European locale - Paris, London, Barcelona, Athens and Saint Petersburg.
Another facet of the only adult zone will be Ooh La La, a champagne bar designed with a French boudoir in mind. This means walls of velvets, Victorian furniture and Louis XIV-style chaise lounges, and a bar with sparkling type diamond facets.
As for those who want to dance instead of sip champagne, nightclub The Tube will answer the call with a theme of London in the 1960s. Retro furniture, red English telephone booth and a "Union Jack dance floor enluminé" will complement the theme inspired by the London train stations.
According to the United States today, all this attention to Europe does not mean that the ship for the head to Europe. Instead, the Disney fantasy will depart Port Canaveral in Florida.
Designers sought a broad theme for the region and struck on "spending a night clubbing in Europe", Lanzisero said. "We just took that and ran with it.".
