Oscar Antonio Mendoza, Puerto Rican tourist, fights for life after mugging Naples

 A Puerto Rican tourist who had just landed his cruise ship Naples fights for his life after brain surgery after attacked by assailants, reports the agency Associated Press.

Oscar Antonio Mendoza walked the port of Naples, when two assailants on a motor scooter attempted to take his Rolex, Police Major Paolo Zito told the Associated Press.


Mendoza refused to abandon the previous day, the thieves push towards the ground and fled. Downward, Mendoza hit his head.


He suffered a brain surgery at the Hospital of Loreto Mare of Naples where his physician, Maria Corvino, said that the prognosis is guarded.


Napoli officials warn visitors not pas to wear expensive jewelry to wander the streets.
