Prince William Honeymoon could stimulate Australian travel

Prince William and Kate Middleton, the future can make Australia for their Royal honeymoon destination, a perspective that has officials from tourism in the ready to fire their barbies, according to The Telegraph.

"I love scuba diving." I always wanted to dive the [great] coral barrier, "said Prince William to the international press that he promised to boost business and tourism in areas prone to disasters in the Australia."

"I will have to return - perhaps that we will have a honeymoon period in Cairns", said the Prince according to The Telegraph.

Decision of the prince could be an economic boom in the industry of tourism in areas handed cyclone Yasi.

"The media follows William and the world seeks fame and when people come it gets broadcast across the world," Andrew McEvoy, Director General of Tourism Australia, told ABCNews.com.

In fall 2010, the Queen of the gab, Oprah Winfrey, announced on the first episode of last season that it was taking his audience of 300 people in a trip to the land down under. The journey to "the oprah winfrey" show audience and crew was part of the content strategy of mark of the Australia of tourism, which has led to a large four hours earlier this year and aired.

The Group flew in Australia on Board of a plane inhabited by twice nominated Oscar John Travolta for several days vacation which included stops in Melbourne, Sydney and the great barrier reef. The visit of several million dollars, sponsored by Tourism Australia was part of the offer to attract more Americans as U.S. travel in the region began to taper off the coast.

There are 5.9 million visitors in Australia in the year ending January 31, 2011, which represents an increase of 5.8%, according to the Australian Bureau of statistics.

For an industry that rakes at 25 billion each year, this is big news. If it is too early to determine the Oprah effect, the organization is to see an increase in the investigations following the broadcast, which would have been the second most-talked about episode of the season.

"We have certainly seen a hike in interest," said McEvoy. "Fifty percent of the population that it [the show] said that they want to go to Australia and 3.3% who has seen that he actually booked a holiday, which means approximately 140,000 who actually given the show already booked a travel".

The number is high in view of the land of wonder typically receives 480 000 Americans who visit each year.

Since his stay, some areas that Winfrey visited have been recovering from devastating storms that left parts of the cities under water for days. It is these floodplains that Prince William made a visit to during his trip this week and the areas that could use the whip kick.

But, a moon of honey by two which may rule one day in England as King and Queen could have the effect Oprah? "If the couple chooses honeymoon in Australia it represents tremendous value for the Australia and the Australian tourism industry," said McEvoy.
