Vimeo user Philip Bloom band, proximity, McCarren Airport Hotel pools and the mountains that surround Vegas recorded all of his balcony of the hotel, 31 stories place in MGM Signature.
The idea behind the video, Bloom, explains on his blog, comes from the idea that "neon never stops and Vegas is 24 hours a day".
It was, according to him, a piece "ambitious" more than his two previous chronophotographies videos: one of the Sydney Opera, Sydney Harbour and the Harbour Bridge and the other of the Space Needle in Seattle.
To obtain the film he wanted, he booked the room about 9 months in advance, requesting a view of the band. Although that proved not room therefore "Strip-y", the room had a balcony, offering a wide view without a focal point in mind.
The problem with the shooting in Las Vegas, references to Bloom, is that the buildings are all very tinged, so it is difficult to get a good shot. Accordingly, he filmed the band, and surrounding areas to create a "scramble [giving]" you taste and flavour of the place and the view. ""
Unlike other chronophotographies videos, sounds of the real world are mixed, horns, background noise landing plans.
