Knuffingen airport, more great airport world thumbnail, goes on display in Germany

More great airport world thumbnail has been exposed to Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, Germany.

Miniatur Wunderland is also home to the largest model railroad world landscape.

Model airport is based off the coast of International from Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel airport, according to news.com.

The exhibition was approximately 4.8 million for the construction and 7 years.


The model includes a whopping list of accessories, including 40 aircraft, 40,000 lights, 15 000 figurines, 500 cars, 10,000 trees, 50 trains, 1000 cars, 100 signals, 200 switches and 300 buildings.

The figures move autonomous via computer (watch the video below the slideshow of a plane taxiing from the runway).

Display of approximately square feet 494 opened Wednesday.
