Man dies on flight, Miami-Bound American Airlines plane diverted to Norfolk

 A Miami-bound American Airlines flight was forced to divert to Norfolk Wednesday because a passenger died aboard, WVEC-TV reports.

The flight, originally of New York, landed at approximately 8 hours on Wednesday in Norfolk International Airport. Passengers boarded-of as police investigated.


"About 20 minutes of flight, the 73-year-old man starting to feel sick." Is there a doctor on board. CPR was administered and DEA on Board has also been used, "spokesman Wayne Shank told local station of Norfolk WVEC.com." Unfortunatelym paramedics were unable to revive the man.


The aircraft was expected to continue to its destination once the investigation concluded, and the deceased passenger removed, but he was still at Norfolk Airport from Thursday morning


In August 2010, a 57-year woman died on a flight from Delta of Lagos, Nigeria in Atlanta about 11 hours of flight. Later, it was determined that she died of ovarian cancer.
