For the first time in over 50 years, the Cubans will be able to travel abroad as tourists.The news, published Monday by the Government of Raul Castro, is one of the 313 reforms approved by the Congress of the Communist Party in April.
A sheet of tabloid distributed Government describes as: "A policy that allows Cubans living in the country to travel abroad as tourists, the study" News Australian News.com.au site reports.
No other description or calendar has been given.
Since the revolution that brought Fidel Castro to power in 1959, the Cuban citizens were extremely limited in travel. Right only travel are migration or business purposes.
To be able to leave the country, a traveller must currently of invitation letters filed the relevant Cuban Consulate by their hosts. The Cuban authorities must also approve the trip.
