Pilot AirTran Drunk suspended the investigation

The captain of an AirTran flight was arrested Saturday after a TSA Manager smelled alcohol on his breath, Minneapolis KARE 11 reported news station.

The TSA Manager called the police from the airport, giving the captain a breathalyzer test.

The flight, en route to Milwaukee, was delayed 35 minutes after the captain blew a. 05%.

Surprisingly, the legal limit for commercial drivers is .04%--below the. 08 percent limit allowed drivers across America.

The anonymous driver is a federal flight deck officer, meaning that it is authorized to carry a firearm on the aircraft. AirTran did not know if the pilot was armed during this particular flight.

The captain was suspended during the investigation into the incident by AirTran.

Case of the intoxicated drivers are fortunately rare. Earlier this year, a Delta pilot who was drunk (it was 4.5 times greater than the legal limit) for a London-bound flight was sentenced to six months in prison. In March, five employees of Aeromexico, including the two pilots and two co-pilots, were suspended for flying under the influence.

Iurii Chumak, Drunk passenger of British Airways, is groping dashboard

A passenger is charged after he was taking would have been an agent of British Airways flight, while she was serving him coffee on a London to New York flight, the Daily Mail reports.

Iurii Chumak, 53, was sitting in 42 of the British Airways jet row, were reportedly drinking a bottle of Dewar.

Unidentified flight attendant was serving coffee passengers at the time of the incident. Chumak was "disturbed and abused" wife of a neighbour before the incident.

After the flight attendant was served to him, she refused to serve others in the line. This is that Chumak would put his hand under her skirt and her felt.

A second flight officer saw the actions of the Chumak and placed in restraints. According to edge, Chumak was drunk and fell asleep, waking up in contention.

Chumak was retained at the Customs and have appeared in court.

Drunken fliers appear to be increasing: in April, a drunk passenger caused a jet of Paris linked to the detour. Tuesday, it was reported that a drunken man in New York, also en route to Paris, claimed that his name was Ben Laden to an Air France counter.

Christian Boncorps, drunk passenger Air France, argues name is Ben Laden at JFK airport

In a history that is immediately updated on Tuesday, a 61 - year man, said an officer of France Air tickets to New York JFK airport Friday night "my name is Ben Laden, and I have a bomb in my bag."
Of course, it really was bin Laden, but Christian Boncorps, a State of intoxication Yonkers man with a grey beard, who approached the ticket to obtain a boarding pass for the Paris-bound flight, reported the New York Post.

The ticket agent asked that Boncorps had in his bag, thinking he might have additional alcohol for long-haul flight. When the intoxicated course Boncorps he said his name was Ben Laden and he had a bomb in his page.

The next part of the story gets... tedious. The ticket clerk has Boncorps the TSA for a regular screening (no word if the agent has been issued a card gate or not).

The TSA agents took then 40 minutes to decide to call the cops, at which point Boncorps was completed with security and was to return his shoes on (his luggage was already on the flight).

A TSA spokesman told the Post: "TSA continues to consider the circumstances of this case." However, travellers can be assured that each employee of TSA and airport is formed to take all threats seriously and notify the application of the Act to ensure the security of the airport and air travellers. ?

Paul Nunziato, President of the Port Authority Police Benevolent Association, had some harsher words for the TSA. "We were lucky that this passenger was not a serious threat." With countless lives have been endangered by the failure of the TSA to follow its own security protocols. If the statements made by the passenger to call the police, while must be sought immediately, and until the passenger between the control point. ?

Boncorps has been charged with filing a false report and later pleaded guilty to misconduct in a Queens Court, for which he was charged the $ 250 fine.

It was a time (just joking!) since a drunk passenger got involved in air transport. In April, a drunken passenger from Dallas to Paris has forced an American Airlines flight to make an emergency landing in Chicago.
