Danielle Bishop, Virgin Atlantic passengers, A sportswear wrested control in flight

A dispute sexually charged between two Virgin Atlantic passengers obtained control when female passenger's clothes were torn off and her hair off.

The incident occurred in flight on a flight from Britain in Jamaica on May 2. Passenger Jason Dixon, 32, reportedly became drunk and tried to make progress towards the woman sitting next to him.

Danielle Bishop, 27, alleged that Dixon assaulted her after she rejected his sexual advances, reports News.com.au.

In the ensuing struggle, Bishop claims that Dixon grabbed the hand before tearing his clothes and pull the hair in the fight. The altercation was so fierce that almost $40,000 worth of damage was done to the aircraft.

AOL travel is still awaiting details of the damage.

Bishop and Dixon were arrested.

However, while Dixon was sentenced to a fine of approximately $1,550 for malicious destruction of property and unruly behaviour on a flight, the charges against Bishop have been abandoned.

"Virgin Atlantic can confirm this VS69 flight may 2 London Gatwick in Kingston, Jamaica, has been reached by the Police at the airport in Kingston by a passenger to behave in a disruptive way on board,", the company said in a statement to AOL travel.

"The safety of all our passengers and crew members is of paramount importance." Disruptive passengers are rare on Virgin Atlantic flights, but as all other British airline companies we consider such behaviour very seriously. We will not tolerate a disruptive behaviour of passengers on board our aircraft and always report it to authorities.

  1. How is an English story rewritten to sound like it was poorly translated by some other language? Half this story doesn't even make sense.
